About Us |
|
As the Case Studies Class: Spring 2008 at Manchester College, our class is designed around a business venture and service project. Students in the class are responsible for everything related to making the team’s business operational. As a team, the students had to develop a product to sell to the students, faculty, and citizens of the North Manchester community. All of the proceeds that are made during the course of the business are donated to a local non-profit organization. The Firehouse in North Manchester lost its roof recently, so this semester’s class decided to donate its donations to the Firehouse. Our group chose to help the Firehouse because we feel that it is an important part of the North Manchester community. The Firehouse is a place for teenagers to meet at for entertainment in which they can spend some time doing worthwhile activities. Local bands sometimes come and perform concerts at the Firehouse, but they have been unable to come for a long period of time due to the obstacles that are preventing reconstruction. The class is also required to perform various service/volunteer projects. The class comprised a list of the available service projects within the community. Each student has a required number of hours that he or she must complete in order to receive credit for his or her contributions.
There is a list of products and services located in the available hyperlinks located at the left of each page. |
