JEAN LEE/JEFF MARVIN COLLEGIATE SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year Indiana AHPERD offers four $1,000 scholarships to students who are attending an Indiana college or university. Students must be majoring in one of the following fields: Health, Physical Education, Recreation or Dance and have junior or senior standing. Scholarships are based on grade point average, participation in activities, career potential, recommendations, etc. Applications are available by contacting Dr. Kim Duchane in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences.
CATHERINE WOLF CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP
Each year Indiana AHPERD provides scholarships to enable a student from each of the colleges and universities in Indiana to attend the annual state conference. The Manchester College student is selected by the ESS faculty on the basis of potential, involvement in the SHAPE Club, and current leadership in the profession. The scholarship includes one year Indiana AHPERD membership, conference registration fees, ticket to the awards luncheon, and $50 to help defray hotel expenses. Applications are available by contacting Dr. Kim Duchane in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences.
THOMAS A. BRADY STUDENT ATHLETIC TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP
Methodist Sports Medicine Center offers two annual scholarships for $300 and $200. Selectioncriteria include minimum GPA of 2.8, at least sophomore standing, at least two semester minimum of 300 hours athletic training experience. Applications are available by contacting Dr. Mark Huntington in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences.
INDIANA ATHLETIC TRAINING ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize outstanding potential undergraduate students in athletic training. This monetary scholarship is to assist in educational expenses.

RUTH ABERNATHY PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP OF AAHPERD
The purpose of the scholarship is to award monies of $1500 to $3000 to outstanding students in the U.S. The student must be a member of the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD).

NASPE OUTSTANDING MAJOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
The purpose is to recognize outstanding students studying in one of the following majors: athletic training, exercise science, and physical education. The Manchester College student is selected by the ESS faculty using the following criteria: academics with a minimum GPA of 3.0; service including leadership in SHAPE Club and other student organizations, teams, residence halls, and off-campus; and career objective.
Recipients are eligible to apply for Mosby’s Award of Excellence in the amount of a $1500 scholarship.
CARL W. AND LORIN A. BURT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship was established by Manchester "M" Club members in tribute to their former coach, Carl, following his death in December 1966. The sudden death of a son, Lorin A., six months later, also a Manchester alumnus, prompted a combined memorial fund to father and son. Selection is based on an outstanding exercise and sport sciences student in financial need.
Scholarship recipients are nominated and voted on by the ESS faculty in the spring of the academic year.
CLAUDE E. WOLFE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship, given in memory of Claude E. Wolfe by his family, friends and former students, commemorated his able and dedicated service to his alma mater from 1951 to 1976 as a teacher and coach. Worthy students who share the values exhibited by Claude Wolfe in his life are eligible for consideration. Preference for this scholarship is given to students who are studying exercise and sport sciences.
Scholarship recipients are nominated and voted on by the ESS faculty in the spring of the academic year.
LEICESTER AND JEAN BROWN SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship was established by Leichester and Jean Brown, alumni of the College. It provides funds for worthy students on the basis of financial need, satisfactory academic performance and contributions to the co-curricular activities of the College. In awarding this scholarship, preference is given to students who major in business or exercise and sport sciences.
Scholarship recipients are nominated and voted on by the ESS faculty in the spring of the academic year.
MARTY ROSE SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship was established in 1970 by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rose, parents of Marty Rose. Marty was a promising college football player who was killed in an automobile accident, November 1969. The fund provides one or more scholarships for students pursuing a program in exercise and sport sciences at Manchester College.
Scholarship recipients are nominated and voted on by the ESS faculty in the spring of the academic year.
DEAN'S STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP SYMPOSIUM
The purpose is to recognize outstanding student research. Students may submit an original paper or use one that has been written within a health and physical education course. Oral presentations are judged by an interdivisional committee. Successful presentations receive a financial award.

SENIOR LEADERSHIP AWARDS
The purpose is to recognize outstanding students who have contributed significantly to the quality of student life throughout their years at MC in a variety of campus activities. The award signifies that the student has been a model of citizenship--displaying personal qualities and evidence of balance between leadership in campus activities/services and academic success.
Award recipients are nominated by the ESS faculty in the spring of the academic year.
