Study Abroad

The Department of History and Political Science offers students many opportunities to study off campus, especially during the January Session, and we strongly encourage all of our students to take advantage of this option. During the special three-week "Jan term," faculty members in our department regularly offer courses designed to expand a student’s understanding of history and politics through study both in the United States and abroad. In the past few years, we have offered courses based in Washington, D.C. and the city of New York, as well as classes in Ireland, Britain, Italy, Ghana, and a wide variety of other European and African cultural and historical centers. Additionally, students may intern in a variety of off-campus programs or may choose to study abroad for one or two semesters.
