Electives/Biotechnology Major
Electives allow students the flexibility to choose from a wide variety of classes in order to best achieve their goals. For example, skills required in forensic analysis, environmental testing, pharmaceutical analysis, quality food control testing or orthopedic equipment manufacturing differ, and with the help of the student’s faculty advisor, students can build a major with courses that interest them most.

Capstone Courses
Two classes that culminate the total learning experience are required before students graduate with the microbiology major. Both are designed specifically for the student’s interests and skills and help prepare the student for a successful career or acceptance into graduate school.
