When we first came to Manchester University in 1961, we didn’t know that we would fall in such love with Ken’s students. From the first, you have become our best loved and often our closest friends. Every four years, you shared your lives, your hopes, your dreams with us and then you went out into the world to make it a better, more just and loving place.
Many, so many of you have returned or reconnected with us throughout these years. Your very being gave Ken so much fulfillment and faith that perhaps the world would be a better place if we worked hard enough together.
You have been so dear to Ken, to me, and to our children. Our lives have been so full of joy. Thank you for loving us so well.
