when we finally recognize that cycles of violence must be broken by
innovative responses of a different kind.

Nonviolent Social Change is the annual publication of the Manchester College Peace Studies Institute. Published since 1971 as the Bulletin of the Peace Studies Institute, the journal has traditionally been a themed annual print media publication. In 2007 the journal was converted to an online format and assumed a focus on nonviolent social change, prompting the change of its name from the Bulletin to Nonviolent Social Change.
The
Plowshares Collaborative was formed in 2002 by
Earlham College, Goshen College, and Manchester College to
develop the strongest, most distinctive undergraduate program in
peace studies in the United States. Funded by a grant from
Lilly Endowment Inc., this institutional collaboration is
finding new, imaginative ways to address the problems of
violence and related challenges that confront the world today.

The
National Index of Violence and Harm tracks changes
in various forms of personal, institutional, and structural
violence in the United States from 1995 to present. NIVAH
is now a joint project with the Bentley Alliance for Ethics and Social Responsibility, for whom Dr. Neil Wollman serves as Senior Fellow.
