Social Work Program: Accreditation
The Social Work Program at Manchester University has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education since 1977. CSWE sets national standards to which Bachelor- and Master-level social work programs are held.
Accreditation gives our students certain advantages. For example, many MSW programs offer Advanced Standing ("fast track") options for graduates from accredited undergraduate social work programs, such as ours. Accreditation also enables our alumni to be eligible for various state and federal civil service exams. Finally, accreditation allows our alumni to seek social work licensure nationwide.
