Master of Athletic Training Retention Policy

Manchester University’s Graduate Athletic Training Program has a retention policy in the case that a student falls under a specific academic standard.  The retention policy is as follows. 

To earn the MAT degree, students must complete the following:

1. Maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00. 
2. Earn at least a 2.00 (C) in each required course. 
3. Complete all required didactic and clinical courses .

Courses counted toward a Master of Athletic Training degree completion may be repeated a maximum of one time.

Transfer of Credit

A maximum of six semester hours of graduate credit taken at other regionally accredited graduate schools may be transferred and applied toward either the MAT or the MEd, provided that such credit is approved by the appropriate program director and the registrar. Credit cannot be earned through proficiency examinations.
