SUMMER CHEERLEADING SUMMER WORKSHOP DATES SET
Cheerleading head coach Cindy Goshert will hold a pair of summer workshops for those interested in trying out for the Manchester College cheerleading teams during the 2008-09 school year.
The workshops will introduce material and distribute conditioning information, and refresh skills. The workshops are not mandatory, but will be beneficial for those interested in trying out for the teams.
The first workshop will be on Saturday, June 14 from 1-4 p.m. and again on Sunday, August 10 from 1-4 p.m. Please download the registration form and return to Coach Goshert.
The Manchester College cheer teams cheer at all home football games and all home men's basketball games. They also cheer at three home women's basketball games.
The cheerleaders travel to two away games for each sport: football and men's basketball, in addition to supporting other teams during their season by decorating locker rooms and attending home games to show support.
The fall football cheer squad consists of ten women. The winter basketball cheer squad consists of six women and two men. |

School spirit charges up Manchester fans and players alike, thanks to the Spartan cheerleaders and Spartanettes, the dance troupe squad. Female cheerleaders raise the spirit at Manchester College football games, while a co-ed cheerleading squad and the dance troupe work to energize the fans and teams at basketball games. The squads have fun working enthusiastically to fire up the fans and the entire athletic program. |
