8.21.08 - ALUMNI MEET SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY
One of MC's highly attended alumni events will take place on Saturday as head coach Brian Cashdollar hosts the annual MC cross country Alumni Meet.
Former Spartans of all ages are encouraged to attend and challege the 2008 Spartan teams in their final tune-up before the season opener next Saturday at Goshen. For more information contact Coach Cashdollar.
2.26.08 - WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY NAMED ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM, FLANDERS NAMED SCHOLAR ATHLETE
The Manchester College women's cross country team was recognized by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association a an All-Academic team based on the team's cumulative GPA. Manchester was one of 106 teams to receive the award.
Senior Becca Flanders was named as a Scholar Athlete by the USTFCCCA. The award honors student athletes who have succeded both academically and athletically. To be eligible for the award a student athlete must carry a minimum 3.5 GPA and must finish in the top 25 percent of the field at thair respective NCAA regional event. Flanders will graduate with a degree in Elementary Education this May, and was one of just 203 runners to receive the award.
11.10.07-MC WOMEN PLACE 17TH, MEN 23RD AT NCAA GREAT LAKES REGIONAL MEET
Manchester's cross country teams took part in the 2007 NCAA Great Lakes Regional championships on Saturday, hosted by Calvin College.
The women placed 17th out of 31 teams, led by Becca Flanders, who placed 54th overall in a time of 23:34. Jessica Bremer placed 90th in 24:18, followed by teammate Breana Lindsay who took 92 one second later. Megan Miller was 105th in 24:32, and Tiffany Alva took 126th place in 25:00 to round out the top five.
finished 23rd out of 32 teams, and were led by Andy Williams' 69th place performance in a time of 26:34. Josh Miller placed 95th in 26:49, followed by Kyle Pletcher's 128th finish in 27:16. Andy Hopkins was 159th in 27:49 and Andrew Doub took 176th place with a time of 28:15.
10.27.07-SPARTANS PLACE FOURTH AT CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS, WILLIAMS AND FLANDERS NAMED ALL-CONFERENCE
Manchester College's men's and women's cross country team each placed fourth at the HCAC Conference championships, hosted by Hanover College.
In the men's race, sophomore Andy Williams placed 12th overall in a time of 27:23 to pick up All-Conference honors for the second straight year. Josh Miller placed 16th overall in 27:49, while Andy Hopkins took 23rd in 28:23, Kyle CLine took 26th in 28:35 and Andrew Doub placed 29th with a time of 28:44 to round out the top five.
On the women's side, Becca Flanders picked up her second All-Conference award with an 11th place finish in 24:29. Breana Lindsay took 18th place in 25:09, followed by Megan Miller in 20th place in 25:19, Tiffany Alva in 24th with a time of 25:34, and Jessica Bremer rounded out the top five with a 28th place performance in 25:47.
Manchester returns to action two weeks from now at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional hosted by Calvin College.

The Spartan cross country runners are a group of dedicated teammates who work hard together and encourage each other to achieve their potential. The cross country program, combined with track and field, has produced more than 53 Academic All-Americans, 20 Athletic All-Americans and three national champions.
Now in his tenth year as head coach of the men's and women's cross-country teams, Brian Cashdollar was a four-year letter winner and two-time captain while participating in track and field at Ball State University.
- The men's team has finished in the top four at the conference meet for eight consecutive seasons.
- Manchester has had 29 athletes from the men’s and women’s teams awarded All-Conference honors in the last nine years.
- Coach Cashdollar was named HCAC Coach of the Year in 2003.
