ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT SUMMER CAMPS

CHEERLEADING SUMMER WORKSHOP AND TRYOUTS SET
Manchester College cheerleading coach Cindy Goshert will hold a tryout for the 2009-2010 cheerleading squad on Saturday, June 14. Any females who would like to try out are requested to send in a questionnaire form to Coach Goshert prior to the tryout. Those who cannot attend the workshop/tryouts can do so at the start of the fall semester.

BISHOP DULLAGHAN FOOTBALL CAMPS RETURN TO MANCHESTER COLLEGE
Head football coach Shannon Griffith has announced the return of the Bishop Dullaghan High School Down and Dirty Lineman Camp June 26-28. Camps are open to grades 9-12. The Bishop Dullaghan camps enter their 35th year, and had a total of 2,400 campers attend last year's session. They continue to build championship caliber players each and every year. WRESTLING TO HOST KEN CHERTOW SUMMER WRESTLING CAMP
Manchester College wrestling coach Matt Burlingame has announced that MC will serve as a host for the Ken Chertow Gold Medal Wrestling Camp June 8-12. Chertow was a former Olympic wrestler for Team USA, and brings a staff of Olympic medalists and Junior National champions to camp to give participants a full day of live drilling, competition and evaluation. Campers can choose from a four-, five- or six-day camp. For more information, click on the camp flyer.


SS COUNTRY TO HOST SUMMER YODER-BEGLEY CAMP
Head cross country coach Brian Cashdollar has announced the return of the Yoder Begley Distance Camp on Sunday, July 19 to Thursday, July 23. The camp is open for runners of all abilities in grade 5-12 in the current 2008-09 school year, with graduating seniors eligible to attend. Amy Yoder Begley and her husband Andrew founded and have directed this camp since 2000 with the goal of training proper techniques for success at any level. VOLLEYBALL TO HOST SUMMER TEAM CAMP
Second-year head coach Kendra Marlowe has announced dates for her summer volleyball camp on Saturday, July 25 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. This varsity team camp will include instruction and tournament competition directed by the Manchester College volleyball staff. Play will conclude by 5 p.m., and the tournament champions will receive t-shirts. Space is limited to 12 teams. Contact Manchester College head coach Kendra Marlowe at 260-982-5358 or kamarlowe@manchester.edu to reserve a spot and receive a brochure and waiver information. Cost: $100 per team (for first 10 athletes, $10 for each additional athlete). Each team should have a minimum of seven players and be accompanied by a coach or parent representative.
