4.17.08 - SPARTANS PLACE SECOND AT MC SPRING INVITE
Manchester's women's golf team finished second overall, six strokes out of first place at the 2008 Manchester College Spring Invite, hosted by Honeywell Golf Course. 

Junior Stacey Goins tied for third with an overall 87 in the 18-hole tournament.  Chelsea Johnson took sixth with a 94, followeed by Erica Hahn's seventh place finish with a 97. Mary McCauley was 15th with a 104 and Jessica Kantzer rounded out MC's top five with a 16th place finish with a 108. 

10.14.07-MANCHESTER SHAVES 29 STROKES FROM DAY ONE'S SCORE TO PLACE FOURTH AT HCAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Manchester's women's golf team fired a 392 in Sunday's round two of the HCAC Conference Tournament to finish fourth overall.  Saturday's team score of 421 had the Spartans 10 strokes behind Anderson for fourth place, and just one stroke ahead of Hanover, who was in sixth place overall. 

Stacey Goins placed eighth for Manchester, giving her All-Conference honors for MC.  Goins fired a 94 on Saturday and a 91 on Sunday for an overall 185 score.  Erica Hahn tied for 10th place with a 104-86/190, Mary McCauley shot a 108-104/212, and Jessica Kantzer shot a 115-111/226 to round out the Spartans top four. 


10.13.07-SPARTANS FIFTH AT HCAC AFTER FIRST ROUND
Manchester's women's golf team currently sits in fifth place after the first round of the HCAC Conference tournament.  Manchester has a team score of 421, 72 strokes behind tournament leader Franklin College who has a 349.  Rose-Hulman is in second with a 369, followed by Transylvania with a 380, Anderson with 411, Manchester with 421, Hanover with a 422, MSJ in seventh with a 468 and Defiance in eighth with a 549. 

Tournament action continues on Sunday.


10.6.07-MANCHESTER THIRD OUT OF SIX TEAMS AT MANCHESTER INVITE
Stacey Goins placed fourth and Erica Hahn sixth as the Spartans took third place out of six team at the Manchester Invite on Saturday. 

Goins fired an 86 in the 18-hole tournament, while Hahn shot a 91.  Mary McCauley took 17th place with a 108 and Jessica Kantzer shot a 118 to tie for 26th place.

Manchester gears up for this weekend's HCAC Conference Championships, hosted by Mount St. Joseph.  MC has won the past four HCAC conference titles and goes for its fifth on Friday.


10.2.07-MANCHESTER THIRD AT FRANKLIN INVITE
Manchester's women's golf team placed third out of three teams at the Franklin Invitational held on Sunday and Monday.  Manchester's Stacey Goins fired a 99-98-188 to take eighth place.  Erica Hahn was one stroke behind with a 94-95/189.  mary McCauley shot a 112-103/215, while Jessica Kantzer shot a 119-117/236.  Manchester returns to action Saturday at Honeywell Golf Course as they host the Manchester Invitational.


9.22.07-SPARTANS FINISH 12TH AT DEPAUW INVITE
Manchester's women's golf team placed 12th out of 13 teams at the 2007 DePauw University Invitational held on Saturday and Sunday. 

Erica Hahn led the way for MC with a 38th place finish, firing a 92-86/178, while Stacey Goins tied for 49th with an 88-98/186.  Mary McCauley shot a 101-107/208 to tie for 73rd place and Jessica Kantzer fired a 104-113/217 to place 76th. 

Manchester returns to action this weekend at the Anderson Invitational.

9.9.07-MC PLACES SIXTH AT ANDERSON INVITE
The women's golf team placed sixth out of seven teams at the 2007 Anderson Invitational over the weekend. 

Erica Hahn led all Spartans tying for seventh place with an 84-84/168.  Stacey Goins was 10th with an 84-85/169.  Rounding out the top five for Manchester were Mary McCauley in 27th place with a 105-98/203, Jessica Kantzer with a 29th place finish, shooting a 100-105/205 and Krista Stone was 32nd with a 111-125/236. 

Manchester returns to action on Sept. 22 at the DePauw Invite.


9.2.07-SPARTANS PLACE 18TH AT FERRIS STATE INVITE
Manchester's women's golf team placed 18th out of 18 teams at the 2007 Ferris State Invite over the weekend. 

Manchester's Erica Hahn led the team with an 87-92/179 to tie for 78th place.  Stacey Goins fired a 91-96/187 to tie for 92nd.  First Year golfers Mary McCauley fired a 104-112/216, Jessica Kantzer shot a 121-124/245, and Krista Stone had a 124/122/246. 

Manchester travels to the Anderson Invitational this weekend.
