With 19 intercollegiate sports and up to 75 percent of our student body participating in intramural athletics, it's no surprise that sports are an important part of life at Manchester College. HOMMEMA SETS ANOTHER SCHOOL RECORD IN SOFTBALL
Amy Hommema (Sr. C Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) set a school record for most doubles in a season as she hit her 17th of the year in a 3-2 win over Hanover on Sunday. Hommema batted .308 (4-13 batting with a run scored and an RBI on one double) in four games, including a pair of losses to St. Mary’s and a split with Hanover, that secured the fourth and final spot for the HCAC Tournament. Hommema also holds records for most RBIs in a season (45), homeruns in a season (10), and slugging percentage in a season (.764).
