Andrew Cordier,
a 1922 graduate, helped to draft the founding charter of the United
Nations. The Manchester College-United Nations tie is evident
to this day as the College's Peace Studies Institute holds membership
in the United Nations as a Non-Governmental Organization, the only
college with such status.
