    • Yes, definitely. Manchester graduates have many excellent opportunities, whether they pursue graduate school or full-time work.   • Is there anything to do on campus?
    • There is always something to do on campus. A mix of campus wide activities, athletic events, trips off campus, theatre and movies, residential life programming, events held by clubs and organizations, and informal plans made by friends offer exciting choices every week.   • How much does it cost to go to Manchester College?
    • The cost of tuition, fees, room, and board can be found here. The College offers generous financial aid and scholarships, so most students pay much less than the “sticker price.” Financial aid estimates are available for interested families.

    • Manchester College offers financial aid based on a student’s high school academic record and the student’s family’s financial need. Merit-based aid is available based on academic ability; special abilities and interest in service, languages, the arts, and non-profit management; and leadership and academic ability for students of color.     • The financial aid packages that Manchester awards to all students, including athletes, are very generous. In addition, the level of athletic competition and quality of coaching we offer to student athletes help us attract excellent athletes.

  • Can students work on campus?
    • A complete and up to date set of job vacancies is posted on the Office of Human Resources web pages. All prospective employees, including student employees, may apply for vacant positions by completing an employment application online or by filling out a written application available at the Office of Human Resources.

  • Is Manchester College religiously affiliated?
    • Manchester College is a college of the Church of the Brethren. It provides opportunities to explore, develop, and nurture a living faith in an environment of respect for religious diversity. The College maintains a valued relationship with the Church of the Brethren, a Christian denomination recognized as an historic peace church. The influence of this relationship is seen in many ways on campus: the first undergraduate peace studies program in the United States; the granting of service scholarships; the presence of the Manchester Campus Reconciliation Service, a peer mediation program; voluntary weekly chapel services and numerous Christian organizations; strong ministry programming, including spirituality groups and Bible study groups; and representation of the denomination on the Board of Trustees.

    • Many buildings on campus are handicapped accessible. Some of the older buildings were not constructed to be assessable to people with physical disabilities and have not yet been remodeled or retrofitted. Two newer residence halls (Helman and Oakwood Halls) are accessible. Rooms specially designed for residents with disabilities, with accessible bathrooms and fixtures, are available. Plans for new buildings and substantial remodeling always address accessibility.

      Students needing accommodations can request that their classroom locations be moved to an accessible floor or building. Visitors to the campus who need accommodations should contact the director of physical plant.

  • What accommodations are available to students with learning or physical disabilities?
    • Any student admitted to the College who provides documentation of a physical or learning disability can work with the director of Academic Support to arrange accommodations. These may include things such as: use of a special quiet study lounge, air conditioning, a note taker, extended time for exams, distraction-reduced test taking locations, a reader or scribe, or special dietary planning. All students, regardless of disability status, are able to work with a trained peer tutor for any course.

    • As a residential college, Manchester believes that significant learning takes place through the living experience and programming in its residence halls. The residence hall environment encourages and supports the learning of life skills such as mutual respect, consideration for others, living in community, and open communication with other students.     • Need help with your job search? What about making a career change? Maybe considering graduate school? As a Manchester alumnus, you can receive full-service assistance from the Office of Career Services at no cost.   • How can I get a copy of my transcript?
  • I have lost touch with some old friends. How can I get in contact with them?

    • To contact former classmates, first check the My Manchester College online alumni community or make your request to the alumni office at alumnioffice@manchester.edu, providing your name and address in the request. If we are at liberty to release the individual's information, we will do so. If not, we will send them a note saying that you are interested in making contact.

  • How do I update any changes in address, e-mail, marital status, births, deaths, employer, job positions, and moves?
  • If I change my information on the online alumni community, will my information in the alumni database automatically change?
    • No.  We update our alumni database weekly from the changes you make online. 

  • Is there an online listing of all alumni?
  • Can I make event reservations online?
    • Yes, you can register for most Alumni events online.

  • I would like to make a donation to MC. Can I do it online?
    • Yes, you can give a gift online.

  • How do I get information in my class listing in the Manchester Magazine?
  • How far ahead is the date for Homecoming determined?
    • Usually at least two years ahead.

  • How do I get an Aurora for my class year?

    • The State of Indiana is streamlining its license plate program, and Manchester grads and friends can now renew their special Manchester College plates and tags online! You no longer need to complete an authorization form from the MC Alumni Office. Click here for more information.

  • Does the Campus Store have logo merchandise, and can I order online?
    • The Campus Store has a variety of logo merchandise: t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, mugs, afghans, etc. You can view and order MC products on the Campus Store website.

  • Where is the Campus Store located?
    • The Campus Store is in the College Union.

  • How do I write a letter of recommendation for a student?
    • Faculty or staff can get information about writing a professional letter of recommendation on behalf of a student, along with samples of such letters, on the web pages of the Office of Career Services.

  • Are there career and job search services available to me?
    • The Office of Career Services offers free use of all their services and resources for Manchester faculty and staff. Whether you need help updating a resume or vitae, help sharpening your interviewing skills, direction as to a new career to pursue, or thoughts about pursuing graduate school, OCS will work confidentially and discretely to assist you.   • Whom do I contact to reserve various rooms on campus?
    • To reserve classrooms or computer labs, contact the Registrar’s Office at 260-982-5235.
    • To reserve all other rooms, including athletic facilities in PERC and the Koinonia Retreat Center, contact the Office of Conference Services at 260-982-5551, or e-mail Paula Finton.
    • Room availability can checked by using the Virtual Event Management Service (VEMS) online.

  • If I have a question about signs on campus, whom do I contact?
    • Questions about or requests for campus signs should be directed to Quentin Moudy, at X5267 or e-mail qjmoudy@manchester.edu.

  • How do I find the most economical way to send a large mailing?
    • To arrange large outgoing mailings, contact Brenda Carver, administrative mail coordinator, at x5206 or bkcarver@manchester.edu.

  • What are the procedures for getting a project designed and printed on campus?
    • The Office of Marketing is located on the lower level of the Administration Building in Room 3. To arrange to have a project designed and printed, visit the office in person or call Dan Chudzynski, director of marketing, at x5089. Printing projects may take 1-4 weeks, depending on the extent of the project.

  • Are there guidelines for use of the College logo, Spartan head, MC, or College seal?
    • Yes. All questions regarding the use of the College images (College logo, Spartan logo, College Seal, etc.) should be directed to Dan Chudzynski, director of marketing. All faculty and staff should consult with Dan before using College images in letters, publications, signs, t-shirts, etc.
