Manchester University actively recycles as much as possible. To that end, the University recycles paper, cardboard, plastics, aluminum cans, batteries, and many others. All buildings have recycling containers to ease the effort and those containers are emptied by Physical Plant on a weekly basis.
The Information Technology Services department also recycles toner and ink cartridges from the printers around campus.
In fact, the University became one of 85 recipients of a Coca Cola/National Recycling Coalition NRC) grant that provides bins to improve our recycling efforts. There were over 1,400 applicants for this grant. Look for one of the new blue recycling bins.
