Manchester’s small choirs
perform Friday night, Oct. 18

Manchester University presents “A Choral Cavalcade” of its Cantabile women’s chorus and Chamber Singers this Friday evening, Oct. 18. The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Wine Recital Hall on the North Manchester campus. Reservations are not necessary.

On the program for the Cantabile: Rise Up Singing by Purcell and Liebergen, Dona Nobis Pacem by W.A. Mozart and Liebergen, Serenade in Vain by Brahms and Pooler, Waters Ripple and Flow and The Water is Wide arranged by Taylor, and The Storm is Passing Over by Tindley, arranged by Baker.

On the program for the Chamber Singers: Fire, Fire My Heart by Morley and Greyson, In Remembrance by Daley, My God is a Rock by Walth, Danny Boy arranged by Flummerfelt and Hit Me with a Hot Note and Watch Me Bounce! by Ellington, arranged by Shaw.

Scott Avery is director of both 12-member choirs, accompanied by Joanne Case.
