Scrapbooking online, how to organize photos, layout and scores of crafty tips are in store for participants of the 2014 Scrapbooking Retreat at Manchester University on June 6-8.
It’s time to register for ultimate scrapbooking weekend on the North Manchester campus. Participants can spend the entire weekend or commute. Either way, they’ll have lots of opportunity to gather tips from Creative Memories consultant Sue Hooley.
Each of the anticipated 50 participants will have personal 6-foot tables for spreading out scrapbooking materials, tools and projects for the entire weekend and a comfortable, adjustable office chair. Hooley will teach classes and have supplies available for purchase.
All meals are included, plus free wireless internet, games and giveaways. Suite-like rooms on campus – with private baths, towels and linen service – are included in the $150 weekend package. (Commuters pay $95.) The fee for Manchester alumni and employees is $135 ($85 commuter). Returning scrapbookers receive a $5 discount.
Two supplemental Close to My Heart classes taught by Hooley and Terry Metzger also are available on making flip flaps and “Scrapbooking with Artbooking.” Each class has a $6 fee. To ensure all participants have flip flaps for that class, students must register during retreat registration.
The retreat begins Friday afternoon and ends Sunday afternoon.
