Biographical/Historical Note:

A. Blair Helman served as Manchester College President from 1956-1986.

The "Project for Extending the Study of Foreign Areas in Indiana Undergraduate Education" was an "endeavor to encourage more study of the non-Western world in Indiana colleges."  Blair Helman served on the state advisory committee.
