| Historical Note: |
From newspaper article: "Manchester is a member of the Central States College Assn. (CSCA), a group incorporated last year and now consisting of 12 church-related schools. The members of CSCA no longer think of themselves as small, isolated colleges, but as much like a university of some 12,000 students and 1,000 faculty who happen to be located on ten different campuses in six states...Dr. A. Blair Helman, president of Manchester, points out that the object of CSCA will be to do things together which can be better done by larger schools, and at the same time keep the advantages of small enrollment and campus atmosphere." "Big Step by Small Hoosier College." Leader-Tribune [Marion, Ind.]. 29 March 1966. The CSCA was dissolved in 1978. |
