Biographical/Historical Note:

The first fountain on Manchester's campus was located in front of and between Bumgardner Hall and the Chapel Building.  It was dedicated in August 1912 and was a gift from the alumni association.

When the two buildings were joined to become the Administration Building in 1920, the first fountain was removed.  A second fountain, given by the class of 1924,  was installed in back of the Administration Building around the same time.
