Biographical/Historical Notes:
1 Edith Yaney Shafer graduated from Manchester College with a Normal degree in 1923. She died in 1987. This collection of photographs was from an album of hers.
2 Manchester College's original Alumni Fountain was dedicated on 2 August 1912. It was located in between Bumgardner Hall and the Chapel Building, on the College Avenue side. The fountain was removed when the two buildings were connected to form the Administration Building (1921).
