| Biographical/Historical Note: | Laura Wine was the head of obstetrics at the Lassa Mission Hospital in Nigeria. She was one of the first to die of what was to be called Lassa fever, an unknown and deadly disease that erupted in Nigeria, Africa in 1969. |
