Student, D. Owen Cottrell received a B.A. from Manchester College in 1903. This is his notebook on Botany Lectures for Winter Term 1898 - 1999 and Spring Term 1899, with notes beginning 7 December 1898. The notebook is illustrated nicely.Though over 120 years old…the paper is supple and has been well preserved.

Kintner, Dr. Elgin: Physiology Experiments, First Year Medicine, Indiana University
Dr. Elgin P. Kintner, M.D., the son of Dr. Edward Kinter, graduated from Manchester College in 1939. This book of "Physiology Experiments" was completed with a laboratory partner during Elgin's first year of medicine at Indiana University.

The year prior to September 1994, students had organized a volunteer pep Band that played at football and basketball games. The Pep Band was continued in 1994. Butterbaugh agreed to raise money to furnish the Band with sport shirts and jackets. This letter requests that recipients contribute $100 each to defray the cost of shirts and jackets.

Shultz who worked and taught at Manchester College in various positions (Librarian, Mathematics, Religious Education, Principal of Preparatory Department, Academy, Modern Languages) during the years 1924-1943. Ted Studebaker, MC Class of 1967, pacifist and conscientious objector who served as an agricultural worker during the Vietnam War and was executed by North Vietnamese in 1971.
He was also a musician and an album of his music is in the Manchester College Archives. The album and corresponding digital recording is located in the old Archives' Office.

Ted Studebaker, MC Class of 1967, pacifist and conscientious objector - served as an agricultural worker during the Vietnam War. He was executed by North Vietnamese in 1971. This is a recording of the ABC News storoy by Jim Kincaid and an excerpt from the Church of the Brethren documentary on Ted Studebaker.

Rev. J. Edson Ulery was a Church of the Brethren minister who died in January of 1959. Two memory books, one for Sylvia and another for Edson, reflect the affection that people held for the couple. Edson's life story is available in a book, "A Heap of Living," by Cora W. Helman.
Edward Willkie, student at the MC Academy, went on to wrestle in the 1920 Summer Games in Antwerp Belgium. Edward's brother was Wendell Willkie and his sister, Julia, was a professor at Manchester College.
