| Mayer, Major William E. and Student Readings for Oral Interpretation | MC2011/38 | The first recording is probably a recording of a radio program in which part of a speech by United States Army psychiatrist, Major W. E. Mayer, is played. The title of the speech is Communist Management of Korean War Prisoners. Mayer discusses the process of brainwashing. In this war, the Chinese took 7000 American prisoners. 3000 did not return to the U.S. and 4000 returned to the U.S. at the close of the war. The second recording is very similar to MC2011/37 and probably are recording of students done for a class in oral interpretation. |
