The year prior to September 1994, students had organized a volunteer pep Band that played at football and basketball games. The Pep Band was continued in 1994. Butterbaugh agreed to raise money to furnish the Band with sport shirts and jackets. This letter requests that recipients contribute $100 each to defray the cost of shirts and jackets.

It appears that two unrelated recordings are on one reel-to-reel audio tape. The first, on Track #1, presents readings by students for the study of oral interpretation. The inclusion of student, Frank Barkdoll, on the tape would date his reading as taking place somewhere between 1959 and 1963.
Track #2 is of an ASCD education meeting featuring Harold Taylor and Gardner Murphy.

Old Ampex reel-to-reel format tapes including the lectures given by professors such as Gary Deavel, Jim Hollis, John Planer, Steven Batzka, Charles Klinger, James R. C. Adams, and others. The college does not have the equipment necessary to listen to some of these recordings.
In 2009 and 2010 Pittman and his staff were able to digitize some of the recordings that were on particular types of tape.

The news release indicates Dr. Rohrs had been a member of the Manchester College Faculty since 1959.

|Schutz, J. Raymond||MC2011/227, Folders 17 - 22 ||This vast collection is divided between several pages designated as MC2011/227 [plus Folder Numbers]. Raymond Schutz was a professor at Manchester College. He was also farmer, public speaker, pastor, candidate for Congress (Indiana,1932) and a contendor in the 1936 race for Governor. Schutz was an outstanding official in the local, state and International Kiwanis Club and became President, and then Chairman, of the Standard Life Insurance Company of Indiana. One can get a feel for Pre WWII Indiana and Indiana involved in war. Letters to soldiers are included along with names of men from North Manchester who were killed. Prohibition, economic recovery from the Great Depression, and the impact of Hitler 's Germany on Europe, were somemajor issues of Schutz's day. Schutz was a contemporary of Andrew Cordier who participated in some of Schutz's political involvements. |

Ted Studebaker, MC Class of 1967, pacifist and conscientious objector who served as an agricultural worker during the Vietnam War and was executed by North Vietnamese in 1971.
He was also a musician and an album of his music is in the Manchester College Archives. The album and corresponding digital recording is located in the old Archives' Office.
