Dr. Garner, who had been affiliated with the Environmental Protection Agency, talks about pollution, the auto industry, catalytic converters and their pollutants, consumption for consumption sake, oil shortages, and the idea that "technology can disrupt nature but it can't transcend it." To help control pollution and our environment we must ask ourselves, "What REALLY are our NEEDS and not our DESIRES?" Fulfilling our material desires will lead to more production and to more pollution.
Later in the tape, President Helman is captured giving an address about Manchester College and higher education in a Christian college. He also touches on environmental concerns. This tape was probably recorded over several times.
