This large collection of materials ranging from MC2009/7-A  -  MC2009/71-V,j1a,b includes printed and hand-made posters and other memorabilia accumulated throughout the years in the Manchester College Archives. 

Photographs of reception at a recital or musical event, probably in Winger Auditorium sometime in the 1950's.

Ann Blair, Jan Deaton, Dodie Heiny, Ann Lawver, and Linda Zumbrun were the student artists who sang these songs.  This was an independent group of Manchester College students unrelated to the College's music program.

Taken from a fact sheet entitled, Manchester College New Faculty 1986: William Robinson, President, comes from the National College of Education where he was Senior Vice-President for Institutional Advancement.  He holds degrees from the University of Northern Iowa, Wheaton College, and the University of Pittsburgh.  He  has taught courses in his field of organizational communication and research and has held several administrative positions.   

Small Box 25 contains materials relating to President WIlliam Robinson.

Richard Robison, Practical Arts and Letters, Education:

• 1985 News Journal newspaper article, " ..... Dr. Richard Robison...has been appointed acting chair of the Manchester College Education department for spring term 1985.  Robison replaces Dr. Warren K. Garner who is on (one) a one semester sabbatical leave..."
• 1987 Plain Dealer newspaper article, "Vocational Seniors to Get Certificates......Richard W. Robison, a Manchester Collge education professor, will speak.  He and his wife have had more students participate in the vocational school than any other family in the district.  Seven of the Robisons' 10 children have attended the school...."
• "Outdoor Classes Bring Science to Life In Schools Here," 1987 News Journal newspaper article, "... In addition, the Manchester College Education Foundations class, taught by Dr. Richard Robison, will provide 27 college students who will assist teachers and serve as counsellors...."

Ronald R. Hill Collection, Class of 1959.  College Memorabilia from 1955 - 1959, including the autograph of Marian Anderson [1955], Arnold Moss, and program for The Messiah, 1958.

Steve's Schaum's photograph is included with image #42, Office of Admissions. The picture includes Jolane Rohr, Sandy Bendsen, Jill Biehl, Kim Reinoehl, and Melissa West. This picture is part of a larger collection containing 44 photographs.

Posters about various scholarships.

This vast collection is divided between several pages designated as MC2011/227 [plus Folder Numbers]. Raymond Schutz was a professor at Manchester College. He was also farmer, public speaker, pastor, candidate for Congress (Indiana,1932) and a contendor in the 1936 race for Governor. Schutz was an outstanding official in the local, state and International Kiwanis Club and became President, and then Chairman, of the Standard Life Insurance Company of Indiana. One can get a feel for Pre WWII Indiana and Indiana involved in war. Letters to soldiers are included along with names of men from North Manchester who were killed. Prohibition, economic recovery from the Great Depression, and the impact of Hitler 's Germany on Europe, were somemajor issues of Schutz's day. Schutz was a contemporary of Andrew Cordier who participated in some of Schutz's political involvements.
