Scope and Content

1.  Four DVD copies of the Andrew Young Speech made at the dedication ceremonies for Cordier Auditorium on 23 September 1978.

2.  One original U-matic tape that can not be played on any equipment possessed by the College at this time.

Bio History NoteAt the time the address was given, Andrew Young was U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.  He was the husband of Manchester alumna, Jean Childs Young.  Young had been active  in the Civil Rights movement working next to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Young went on to be Mayor of Atlanta, Georgia.
