The Archivist searched the name of this individual on the internet and found a website that briefly describes the work of Dr. Dunbar. The tone and language used in the presentation would support that he was an announcer in the broadcast media during the 1950's. On the tape, Dr. Dunbar cites that he has done much recording with WKZO radio.
According to the website, Dr. Dunbar was a newscaster with Channel 3 TV and authored the book How It Was In Hartford. He was Head of the History Department at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo MI and on the staff at Western from 1951 until he retired in 1970. retirement in 1970. Dr. Dunbar was born in 1902 in Hartford, Michigan and died 9-1970 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
