Bio History Note
Rev. J. Edson Ulery was a Church of the Brethren minister who died in January of 1959. Two memory books, one for Sylvia and another for Edson, reflect the affection that people held for the couple. Edson's life story is available in a book, "A Heap of Living," by Cora W. Helman.
The Ulerys we married in 1897 when Edson was a student at the College. The couple served the church in various capacities before returning to North Manchester in 1921 for a period of 8 years when Rev. Ulery served as financial seretary of the College. Following this, the couple moved to Onekama and Edson served the church as pastor. See the funeral book of Mrs. Ulery for the obituary.
