Bio History Note
Homer G. Davisson, an accomplished artist, was born in April 1866 near Blountsville, Indiana. He graduated from DePauw University and also studied art in Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., New York, Munich, Holland, and France. In addition to working at the Fort Wayne Art School, he lived and worked in Somerset (10 miles south of Wabash on the Frances Slocum Trail). Davisson died in February 1957. Several of his paintings are owned and displayed by Manchester College.
