Bio History Note

The succession of Library Directors is as follows:

Lawrence Shultz (L. W. Shultz)

Ruth Coblentz (1945 - 1970) - "Head Librarian."

A Thurmyle Gosnell (spelling?), circa 1956, for about one year.

Ruth Coblentz (1945-1970) - "Head Librarian."

Allen Wilmert (1966 - 1989), titled "Librarian," and then "College Librarian.

Rob Gratz (1989 - 2012), titled "Library Director,and then "Director of Library Services."  Rob began his position on 1 August 1989 and retires on 31 August 2012.

Norma Bruce was a student assistant at the MC Library in 1958-59.  Ruth Coblentz was the Head Librarian at that time. 

Rob Gratz writes of Ruth, "...In my own 15 years as library director at MC, I've come to admire all the things she accomplished.  Chief among them was her wonderful planning for this 1966 building, which we renovated in 1999...."
