This is a postcard snapshot of David Frantz and two others in their room at Mt. Morris College, Illinois. It was donated by Evelyn Frantz on 28 May 2008. David's daughter, Hazel Frantz Turner wrote this about the postcard:
David Frantz, Holmesville, NE.
In 1911 and 1912 David and his sister, Ida, went to Mt. Morris, Illinois, to attend the academy there. However, on Jan. 15, 1912, "Old Sandstone," the main building, burned down. This must have been the dorrmatory also, as it was said that David lost all his clothes and other belongings in the fire.
