This photo was taken from its frame for preservation and storage concerns.
When this picture is compared against the portrait of President J. G. Royer on page 107 of Otho Winger's book, "Memories of...Manchester," the similarities are great. The length and shape of the beard, the hairline along the top of the forehead, the eyebrows, all lead me to think that this is another portrait of the same man.
