Bio History Note
This memo book "Compliments of Angelyn Coleman, '44-45 contains handwritten lyrics to songs. There is also a handwritten title, "Chapel Program Nov 44." Since photocopying was not available, perhaps students wrote the lyrics of songs by hand in preparation for performance? Lyrics include: "My Country Tis of Thee," "God Bless America," "I Love you Truly," "Be it Ever So Humble, There's No Place Like Home," "The Hills of Home," "Mammy's Little Baby Loves Short'nin' Bread," "Mother Mackree," "School Days," "There's a Church in the Valley By the Wildwood," "In Christ There is No East or West."
Curtain opens on End of Prelude or Announcements and America played. Curtain closes - After 1st verse of E & W. All be on stage & help for E & W. Start music at sign - hand on piano or .....? Come in & down front.
