The front of the bible bears a handwritten inscription, J. Cloppert. This perhaps is the same John Raymond Cloppert who graduated from Manchester College with the Class of 1934.
There are handwritten notes on the interior. One note reads:
He is entrusted with the most Sacred treasure, is inspired by the noblest ambition and has before him the prospet of an infinite reward.
