A grouping of players, all from Fort Wayner on the 1939 football team. The team finished 7-1 and was the highest scoring team in the nation.* All-state quarterback Don "Hank" Lieberum, #83 in the picture, finished THIRD in the nation's scoring, after Tom Harmon of Michigan. The team was also led by kicker Bob Brandon, halfbacks Bill Milliner and Glenn Kistler, and all-state guard, Gerald "Bull Detrick." Rob Gratz
