Bio History Note
Manchester College was a background central to the life story of John A. Young and his wife-to-be, Phoebe Timmons (BA 1946). The reflections and letters composed by John and Phoebe reveal two students’ attitudes, ideas, hopes and dreams, expanding horizons and life experiences as they venture through the formidable times of WWII.
Trailer Court Housing found in: "Memoirs of John A. Young," Volume - IV, June 1946 - September 1950.
John Young notes that Leicester graduated from MC in 1934, but the Alumni Directory puts Leicester in the Class of 1936.
