"Wheras, our nation is in escalating arms race, and
Whereas, our nation is placing itsself and the world in a precarious holocaustic environment by our ever expanding economic and industrial 'defenses' complex within the global community, and whereras.........................
the Brethren at Pine Creek, support the non-partisan National Peace Academy Campaign group, which has been working in Washington D.C., toward teh establishment of a Peace Academy....................................................
the Brethren of the Pine Creek congregation, at North liberty, assembled in council meeting, August 6, 1980, propose to Annual Conference meeting at Indianapolis in 1981, through the Northern Indiana District Church of the Brethren, that our denomination actively support the activity of the National Peace Academy Campaign. We further recommend that a committee be chosen to find ways for Brethren, and others concerned for peace, to actively support the National Peace Academy Campaign."
