Students who have a disability are able to use the services available to all Manchester College students. In addition, for those who present documentation of a disability, we will provide reasonable accommodations in their course work. Students work with the director of Academic Support Services to determine the accommodations needed and plan how they can be managed. The students, director, academic advisors, and professors cooperate to provide the appropriate accommodations (i.e., extended exam time, note takers, enlarged print handouts, etc.)
While these services are available to all students with disabilities, students learn to take responsibility for understanding their disabilities, working with the director, and communicating with their professors. |
