From the President and Editor
"What I do makes a difference.”
That’s the last line of the Manchester College vision. Our hope is that everybody who studies and works here can declare: “What I do here makes a difference.”
As we begin this year, welcoming our largest class of students in 25 years, we celebrate the results of
a breathtaking tempo of embracing new partnerships, new technologies, new learning methods, new revenues and new understandings.
Every step of the way, we ask ourselves: How does this support our vision?
This reinvented, transformed Manchester magazine is one answer to that question. It supports us because it tells the compelling story that is Manchester College.
All who know Manchester know the College has always used its resources with careful stewardship. Each issue of this magazine travels to more than 15,000 readers. So we asked ourselves: Are we fully using the magazine to share the story of Manchester College?
This new Manchester magazine, therefore, exudes focused intentionality. As we planned this issue and will plan others in the months ahead, we will ask: How does this article or this photograph tell the story of Manchester College?
With each issue, we hope to capture the energizing diversity of the incredible Manchester College community. You will find stories about students, faculty, staff and alumni who are making a difference, who are touching and changing lives. You will find many ways to connect with all that is Manchester College.
Go ahead: Jump right in to this new Manchester magazine, and rediscover Manchester College. We hope you can’t put it down!
