B. Gene Butts '52 of
Warsaw, Ind., was inducted
into the Indiana Basketball
Hall of Fame at New Castle
in March as a basketball
official and received the
Center Circle Award. Butts
also is a member of the
inaugural class of the
Kosciusko County Basketball
Hall of Fame. He refereed 25
sectionals, 16 regionals, five
semi-states and two state
finals for boys basketball. In
1976, he refereed both the
boys and girls state
championship games.
