Claude Wolfe Coach of the Year
Each year at the Homecoming football game, this award is presented to an M Association member who, by his or her achievements and contributions in athletic coaching, brings honor to our university and the memory of Coach Wolfe. The award can be based either on outstanding success in the past year or on accomplishments over the course of a several-year career. Selection is made by Association officers from nominations by the membership, which includes all past "M" letter winners. Nominations must be received before Dec. 31. Allen Mack '87 is the 2012 Claude Wolfe Coach of the Year. Mack serves as the boys basketball coach at Miami East High School in Ohio. Going into the 2012-13 season, he had guided Miami East to three state finals, one being against a LeBron James led St. Mary’s – St. Vincent High School team, and won a Division III Ohio High School Class state title. He has led his teams to several Cross County conference titles and has been honored as the conference coach of the year. Past Coach of the Year Recipients |
