Three Manchester choirs present
“For Love and Music” Nov. 9-10
All three of Manchester College’s choral ensembles will perform separately and together “For Love and Music,” their fall concert Friday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 10. The free concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., in Wine Recital Hall.
The audience will hear a range of vocal soloists, and several instrumental solos on violin, trumpet and bass. Pianist Michael Good will accompany the choirs.
“For Love and Music,” centers on the joy of singing, love and the beauty of emotion, said Debra Lynn, who directs the 50-member A Cappella Choir, which includes the Chamber Singers. The seven-woman Cantabile is directed by Alan Chambers. The program offers a wide variety of music, from toe-tapping upbeat to slow romantic melodies.
