Manchester is helping to meet the high demand for pharmacists,

The College of Pharmacy expands the scope of higher education in
northeast Indiana and enhances the reputation of Fort Wayne
as a hub for

An economic ripple effect will stimulate the regional economy. The College of Pharmacy, on track to enroll about 265 students at full capacity and employ 30 faculty and 10 administrators, is attracting people who need housing, and who purchase vehicles, clothing, food, household goods an array of other products and services. With an annual payroll of about $5.5 million, the College has created permanent, high-paying jobs.
Ties between Manchester and Fort Wayne are stronger, growing the potential for partnerships with business, research opportunities, and internships and service-learning projects. A bricks-and-mortar presence in the city also provides a venue for Manchester to expand other academic programs.
The need for another pharmacy school in Indiana is clear. In northeast Indiana, demand for pharmacists is growing faster than supply. Statewide, demand is expected to grow faster than supply in the coming years. And as baby boomers age, national demand for pharmacists is expected to far exceed supply for many years.
With its new College of Pharmacy in Fort Wayne, Manchester is answering the call.
