The Manchester tradition of supporting its students with scholarships and grants is long and generous, and The Next Step! reinforced that commitment. The outpouring of donations swelled the original goal of $3 million for endowed scholarships to an astonishing $8.2 million – generating more than $360,000 annually in new grants and scholarships. One such scholarship from the Mary K. Peabody Foundation provides funding for women studying the sciences.
Such generosity and stewardship ensure that finances are not insurmountable for students who believe Manchester is the right place for them. Funds generated by these endowed scholarships will make it possible to offer the benefits of a Manchester College education to many more deserving students.
