Technology

The Campaign to Strengthen Manchester College brought advanced technology throughout the entire campus. More than two-thirds of the classrooms feature “smart” equipment, such as internet and network connections, projectors, DVD/VCR recorders and sound systems with additional portable units as needed. A video conferencing room in Clark Computer Center and connections elsewhere on campus allow for distance learning and virtual meetings with groups and classes worldwide.
Staying current with technology is an expensive commitment. In 2005 alone, the College replaced one-fourth of the 625 PCs on campus and increased its high-speed bandwidth from 7.5 Mbps to 45 Mbps. The College also has an active internet presence with its website (www.manchester.edu), using new technology for web recruiting and fund raising. The Next Step! met the challenge, providing nearly $1 million for information technology.
