Why give?

Giving Societies

Every person has different motivations for giving. Maybe you are an alumnus, alumna or emeritus faculty. Perhaps someone close to you is or was affiliated with the College. Maybe you are a good corporate citizen or member of the community.

Know that Manchester College is very  grateful and will take great care in how it spends or saves your gift. The College strictly adheres to the Donor’s Bill of Rights.

Manchester works hard to be a good steward of each gift received. Past projects were prudently designed, expertly built, and intended to have a lasting impact on the College.

Your gift gets results. Manchester College will not build without having the money in hand or pledged. Scholarships make it possible for talented students to come here who might not otherwise have the means.

While tuition is the primary revenue source for MC, unrestricted gifts to The Manchester Fund allow the College to do the things that need to be done here. Maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds is expensive. Your gifts make this possible.

Most donors give to the College because of the benefits it provides to the College and students. However, there are significant tax advantages to donating to MC, which make giving to MC just that much easier!

Very few donors expect benefits when they give a gift to MC.  Manchester College, however, has developed giving societies that provide gestures of appreciation for the thoughtfulness of donors to the College.
