Statement Dates
Fall semester bills will be mailed to students' home addresses in mid-July; payment is due by August 15. Spring semester statements will be mailed in late December; payment is due by January 15.
Please review your bill carefully. (See a sample statement.) All financial aid listed on the first bill will appear “pending,” and additional information will be provided. Please contact the office responsible with questions about:
Payments should be made out to Manchester College. Future statements will be pressure sealed and include remittance information. Return the remittance slip and payment to: 4000 Solutions Center, Chicago, IL 60677-4000. Write the student ARID number on all checks to ensure payment is applied to the correct account.
Telephone traffic increases significantly prior to the beginning of each semester. Though all calls are important to us, return calls may take up to five working days. For a quicker response to student billing questions, we recommend you e-mail us at sfs@manchester.edu. Be sure to include the student's full name and ID number in your message.
Payment Expectations
Financial aid from the College and other sources is viewed only as supplementary to the efforts of the student and the student's family. Students requesting financial aid are also expected to contribute toward their college expenses through summer or college employment and/or loans in any reasonable combination.
A student will not be allowed to register for any subsequent terms if there is an unpaid balance on the student's account. Semester grades, transcripts of credit, and diplomas are withheld from those who have not settled their financial obligations to Manchester College including, if any, collection fees attorney's fees and court costs.
Students are not fully registered, nor will they have the privilege of class attendance, participation in activities, or use of College facilities until their charges are paid or until satisfactory arrangements for payment are made through the Business Office. A service charge of 1.5 percent or $30, whichever is greater, may be added to any unpaid balance in the student account as of the last working day of each month.

Auto Registration
All vehicles on campus must be registered. The auto registration fee is automatically charged to all commuter students. Students must complete the Auto Registration Card, available at the Business Office or Department of Safety and Security. The completed card must be submitted to the Business Offices to be marked "PAID." Students must present the marked card to the Department of Safety and Security to receive the registration decal. A $30 fee is charged for the first registration; additional registration cards, up to three, cost $1 each.
Outside Scholarships
One-half the total amount of outside scholarships will appear on the statement for each semester.
Loans
Students who complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form are eligible for Stafford Loans. After completing the FAFSA, first-year students are eligible for $3500, sophomore students are eligible for $4500, junior students are eligible for $5500, and senior students are eligible for $5500. The lender has the option to charge up to a four percent origination fee which applies to Plus, Stafford and some Alternative loans. The origination fee is deducted from the loan amount applied to students' accounts. Students must initiate all loan applications prior to the beginning of the semester. First-year students are required by the federal government to complete entrance counseling and sign a promissory note. Stafford loans cannot be applied to students' accounts until the loan has been initiated and signed by the student, processed and received by Manchester College. Students are responsible for repaying the loans to the federal government after leaving Manchester College. Please contact the Student Financial Services should you have any questions.
